Once the final design is accepted, the bidding process begins immediately. Contractors are generally awarded a project 4 to 8 weeks after the final design is completed and released to them for pricing. Although some may see this as a long period of time, it allows for contractors to respond with questions and submit pricing, our team to review thoroughly their proposals and ask questions, and PKID and the client to review and decide. All these timelines adjust accordingly depending upon the size of the project.
- Submit drawings to contractor for bidding and assist with finalizing scope of work to be produced based on budget.
- Provide any design and drafting changes needed after meeting with contractor to amend or clarify drawings.
- Assist client to select the best team of contractors and various craft crews for the project.
